WW1 Comes to Aces High!

3/24/2010 by Luft

Baten down the hatches, wind those engines up, put your goggles on and duke it out in the turners of all turners! HiTech Creations Inc. has opened up World War 1 arenas at Aces High

Nothing less than exceptional was the expectation as I downloaded the update and got ready to fly.
This is one of those cases were even the fine folks at HTC outdid themselves. The aircraft modeling was, as usual, superb!

The *Specialists* held their squad night yesterday, 23 March 2010, in the WW1 arena. It was a whole lot of fun. It is entirely different to be able to move so freely in an aircraft. The range of motion is exceptional and fitting for such a light aircraft. The wicker basket seats offer little personal protection but that is the point. If you want to bring one of these planes down you either need to take out a lot of struts and pieces of the plane or place a round into the pilot. The later is the most effective method. You need to be close in and quick.

I would not say it's about bagging kills as much as it is about what flying is all about.....flying!

You'd better be a decent stick and ready to use your evasive maneuvers if you want to RTB.

It feels real good to turn so tight. The roll rate using the ailerons is enough to get you out of trouble.

Artwork and graphics are wonderful. I can't wait to see wait comes from the many fine folks that design these skins (hint...Red Baron :)

Below is a posting of our squad night to start off this new adventure.

To all the fine folks at HiTech

Well Done! <S>
