In total, 17 plaques were mailed out. These were the number of current and former *Specialists* that responded to the opportunity to have one. There have been many more *Specialists* that were members over the years. Some are no longer on the mailing list.

The idea of creating a plaque to celebrate our 10 years of flying together was the idea of Fuzeman, also known as Fuze. A former CO, (the longest running I might say) Fuze has not only guided us on many a mission but has also taken this plaque project from idea to finish. The finished product, as seen above, is simply magnificent. These plaques are made of a solid oak base with the logo and text printed to a sheet of aluminum that looks like a porcelain finish. Many thanks to Fuze for this great effort. We received our plaques just a few days before Christmas 2007. Below are some pics of the *Specialists* with their plaques. In total, 17 plaques were mailed out. These were the number of current and former *Specialists* that responded to the opportunity to own one. There have been many more *Specialists* that were members over the years. Some are no longer on the mailing list.

Eventually the text on the final version became:

I’m raising a glass to all you guys. Talk about tradition.

There may be a group somewhere in cyberspace that has had an uninterrupted ten-year run,

but I doubt they’ve had as much fun (or as many kills) as the Specs.

I’ve really enjoyed following your exploits all these many years and I hope to do so well into the future.

While my flying days are over, my pride in being associated with the *Specialists* will never end.

To all you guys, my buds, the best of health, the best of luck, and good hunting in whatever skies you may find yourselves.
