21:00
meet on NE end of the runway in a flak panzer
Flak
Panzer Alley - 21:05 - 21:15
All
Specialists line up in Flak panzers on each side of the runway paralleling each
other to form a "Tunnel of Fire".
This will
consist of 2 events
1/
the CO's/XO's must make a landing in a Spitty Bird and come to a landing on the
runway, without breaking off any wings, while undergoing a full barrage of
bullets from the Flak Panzers.
In the
training arena you won't die but this might make you wreck if you don't keep
your wits about you.2 or 3 attempts may be made
2/Those
flak panzers then raise the turrets up to a 45 degree angle, forming and
inverted V of bullets over the runway. The CO's/XO's fly through them.
Hangar Jump - 21:15
- 21:25
Pick any
plane, bailout of it and land on the bomber hangar. Sounds easy no?
Once
gathered like sparrows on the top of the hangar the CO's/XO's fly by NOE low and
shoot us.
Sounds goofy until you view it played back at 3% of normal speed on your Aces
High Film Viewer. The bullets slow to a crawl and you can watch them whizz by or
through you.
Those on
top of the hangar may fire back with the .45 cal pistols.
Jeep Races - 21:30 - 21:45
There will
be two (2) different Jeep races
Race One
Everyone
lines up at the end of the runway in a jeep. Using External view (F3 Key)
we make
sure this is as tight as an NHRA race. Everyone can be exactly on the line.
Those over will be asked to back up. Once lined up all engines must be stopped
and the transmission put in neutral. On the call of 3 the race is on. You will
need to start your engine and then shift through 4 forward gears with the goal
of reaching the end of the runway first. The first Jeep on the grass wins. TEC
(Tail End Charlie) last one over gets fired on from everyone’s Jeep 50 Cal.
Race Two
The same
rules apply for the start of this race. This time it is 3 laps through the
fighter
hangars. We
start at a designated point and then begin 3 laps. Going through (not
around) both fighter hangars is one lap. Be careful not to turn your jeep over.
It can be tricky.
Squadron formation - 21:45
We will
form up in P38J’s *****TO FOLLOW and launch precisely together (on auto pilot if
possible).
Even with
identical fuel and weight load-outs the aircraft will naturally separate due to
lag shortly after airborne.
Letting it
ride on Auto will give us a very tight formation.
If we could
hold that auto climb-out for 3-4 minutes it would be ideal for updating the
Specialists
web pages.
