Squad Night 12-13-11
Hello Specialists,
13 December 2011 was a training night followed by the usual visit to LW to
implement what we worked on.
The training part was held in the TA and wasn't really training but just
practice in some 2v1 fights. I threw in an occasional tidbit of information but
the training was pretty loose, putting it mildly. Wingman tactics and the
teaching thereof is admittedly one of my weak points. I also think most of us
can't realistically dedicate the time needed to work on this art.
After our practice we migrated over to the LW for some fighting. The Bishops had
gained a foothold on home turf so Command decided to attack them. The Bish were
attacking V65 pretty heavily according to radar so we rolled from A17, a nice
high altitude base close to 65. As we climbed to cap 65 the picture changed as
the attack at 65 thinned out some. We proceeded to the enemy base that was
launching the 65 attack, A18, and headed that way. We engaged the enemy right
off its base between 65 and 18. There were pros and cons to this battle for us.
We generally did have an altitude the enemy was determined. This fight was
pretty deep in injun territory and I can't remember to many rtbs with kills but
I may have missed them.
Chances are high I may be late or absent tonight. First fuze diagram on the new
rig. Different with a capital D. [ Wondering if I used the right capital/
capitol.] I'm sure they'll improve with time.
