Hello Specialists,
28-09-2010 Squad Night AAR.

We originally had a high-low squad night planned but the map and battles on it were not favorable for that and the plan was changed. We would perform a strike mission to neutralize the strats on a base. Initially wanted to hit all three Bishop bases but the fight lingered over A122 so we stayed there.
Heavy P-51Ds out of A219 were filled with 75% fuel and loaded out with 2x1000lb bombs and 6xrockets. We took off southwest of 219 and when clear of terrain turned port to head to target, A122. Target assignments were given out and changed a number of times so there was some confusion when arriving. Basically we went into hit targets of opportunity. Initially a few Bishop did respond to the attack and mounted a defense which grew larger as time went by.
Secondary takeoff bases, a pair of carriers NE of target, C114 and C211, were brought into action as they were closer to target than original takeoff base. We continued the attack as a Knight mission approached from the NE. By this point in the attack numbers were relatively equal so we continued to fight as our numbers dwindled as 11pm approached. Even with the addition Knight mission attacking A122, I do not believe we captured the base as the last Specialist logged off.
