Rooks had attacked
Knight homeland in the northeast and captured two bases, V18 and A17.
A19 a nice high altitude base at 6k feet, was in danger. A19 had been
hit and ordinance was down limiting what could be done to attack 17 and
18. While we losely rolled from 19 west to suppress the enemy supplies
were delivered from V20 to A19 to build up the ordinance. A few flights
and half a dozen M3 loads of supplies later A19 was healthy.
We grouped up at A19 and took off in heavy FOC to attack V18 with other
Knights. V18 was captured and the attack shifted west to A17. We again
took-off A19 in heavy FOC and headed west to attck A17. A17 was damaged
badly already so the town was the most important target. A17 was
captured without too much resistance.
It was then a rather large radar bar was noticed in sector 12,17 heading
east to attack us. Similar to last week we decided to try and attack the
flight. We gathered at A19 again and took off in a mix of Fw 190s.
Intel reported bombers with escorts at 24k altitude. We continued to
climb tp around 25k and adjusted course to attack with other Knights.
The formation was found and suffered severe damage from the attack with
a few of us getting multiple kills and taking damage ourselves.
Attendance was pretty low with only 5 online and swoose was a mouser for
the night not being on the regular computer. That rates a <S> for
dedication and <A><A> [two aspirin] for the headache it must have been.
