AAR Squad night 11-24-2009

 

 

The evening began with the Specs assembling on C16, about 50 miles south
of a rook base, A13. The CO called for heavy naval FOC, and the group took
off, formed up, and headed north.

 

On the way to the target we did encounter several enemy fighters, but

 with our help they were sent back to the tower. Unfortunately for the surprise

 element of our attack, they sounded the alarm and by the time the squad

 arrived over A13 there were plenty of enemy planes upping to keep us busy.

We proceeded to drop on the FH's, but were not able to take them all

 down, especially with the defense mounted against us.

 

The crowd of Rooks was able to gradually bring the furball south

towards our CV, and after a valiant battle we ended up losing the cv.

The Specs had to pull back southwest to A14 as a takeoff base, and

continued to fight against the Rook horde as they moved farther

 south and captured P15.

 

The last few Specs online were hammering the new rook cv

spawned at P15. We did manage to get multiple hits on it, but

I am not sure whether we sunk it or not.

 

All in all it was great fun flying with the Specs, as usual.

I guess in the end it was one of those "you're the bug, not

the windshield " nights....but as always a pleasure and an honor to fly with you men.
