Mission orders
Received 06 April 2009

Plane type: B-17G
Fuel load-out: 50%
Ordinance: 6x 1000lb bombs
Skin: IF we all have 91BG/323BS we will use that, I don't think we all will have this, therefore alternate will be default.
Cruise altitude: 16k

Mission: A high level medium penetration strategic bomber strike hitting an enemy City and Grunt Training facility. Cities resupply facilities so this should be a good combination to hurt them strategically.
We will hit the City first in sector 5,12 and proceed to hit the secondary target, grunt training in sector 6,11, and then rtb. We will use a course to minimize our radar signature making it somewhat more difficult for inexperienced enemy fighters to intercept us. In other words, we will try NOT to fly into any radar circles and give away our position.

-Formation Bombers - it will be YOUR responsibility to maintain formation and stay close and tight to the lead bomber. Remember, while ON default auto-climb, you can maneuver and steer your formations using your rudder from your gun position. This lets you stay close and ON auto-climb very easily and makes formation flying much easier, opposed to switching to a pilot position for any course adjustments.
-Lead Bomber will not be at full power and be busy with course adjustments so try to stay close for maximum defensive coverage.
-It will be both formation and lead bombers duty to keep eyes peeled and call out enemy fighters. When not actively defending your ship against enemy attack, switch to F3 external view to scan the area and call out fighters. When you need to defend yourself, hit F1 and go back to internal view to shoot guns. This method works very effectively and helps your SA immensely. Also, remember it really helps save your ammunition if you can fire primary only, your gun position, until the enemy is in lethal range where you can open up with all guns that have LOS, line of sight, on the target using fire all.

Main training aspect is the formation flying. If we all takeoff together, which we should and will, it shouldn't be difficult to stay close and tight and maintain a nice formation that NO enemy will want to mess with.
We will hit target approximately 30 minutes into the flight. If anyone needs to leave early there are a few facilities North West of primary they may be able to peel off from the main body and hit them.
