Things went fairly well last night for the Specs.

We took off from A219 in heavy P-51's and P-47's to attack the Bish base A122.

A122 was already being shelled from a Knight carrier group just offshore, so fortunately

the town was almost completely down.

We arrived over the enemy base and promptly took down the VH and all 3 FH's.

There was light resistance mainly from a couple of gv's that were already on the field and

one or two fighters that arrived in from the west, but these guys were dealt with easily.

Swoose then brought in a goon and did a perfect drop that captured A122.

Next we turned our attention to V121 further south on the island. Since A122 had no ords we

rolled from the nearby cv in heavy F6F's.

As we approached the V base Fuze went down for recon and found at least 6 flaks patiently

waiting for us on the field. We did manage to take out the 3 VH's and the radar, but the flaks already there

were tenacious.

We continued to attack V121 for the rest of the evening, but didn't have enough numbers

by then to keep the hangars down and clear the remaining gv's for a capture.

After our takeoff from the cv the Bish did send bombers to kill the cv from a base to the southeast.

In retrospect I should have had us take out the ords there to protect the cv....oh well...next time...

Overall it was a very good night and a job well done guys.
